JOSÉ RAMÓN ROMERO RODRÍGUEZ
In 1982, he founded Loyra, Asesoria de Empresas, currently LOYRA- Abogados y Asesores SCP; where he develops his practice and expertise as a specialist in Public Law (Constitutional, Administrative, and Tax Law).
Degree in Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid; where he also prepared for his doctorate and is now an honorary Professor of Constitutional Law.
Graduate degree in Management, specializing in taxes from the Complutense University of Madrid (School of Legal Practice).
He is a senior specialist (from 1978) in gaming law in several jurisdictions advising clients in regulatory and licensing processes and compliance plans and procedures in Spain, Portugal, Italy, United Kingdom, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela and the United States.
He acted as counsel for parliamentary studies (Congress of Spain) and for the National Government and Spanish Regional Governments (Autonomous Communities). He has also worked with diverse governments and parliamentary commissions of Latin American countries (Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela) in the drafting of gaming laws and regulations.
He has been board member and is legal counsel to several relevant companies in the Gaming Industry, some of them listed in the stock markets.
Founding member of the ¨Centro de Estudios de Legislación sobre el Juego¨ (CELEJ), [¨Gaming Legislation Studies Centre¨] and member of the International Association of Gaming Attorneys (IAGA) and member of the Spanish Association of Tax Advisors (A.E.A.F.).
Speaker at several conferences and author of various articles, books and review reports on gaming, television and taxation that have been featured in several ublications.
